Walking and Running

Madira Bickel Mound State Archaeological Site preserves 10 acres rich in Native American culture.

Leading from the parking area is a walkway that winds around the sabal palms to the mound. This path follows the one the Native Americans used long ago. Stairs lead from the base to the top of the mound, providing a view of the mound.

While this park is not developed for recreation, it is a place filled with history, providing an opportunity for reflection.
