Silver Springs Maintenance Team
The Silver Springs Maintenance Team is the recipient of the award for Short-Term Special Project of the Year.
A dedicated team of volunteers at Silver Springs State Park, including Kim & Jeff Payne, Aaron and Nettie Sikowski, John Shea, Laura Pugh, Nathan Thompson, Gio and Anna D'Angelo, Bill Hahn and Pete Ellis, volunteered thousands of hours to renovate four historic safari trams. Their craftsmanship and teamwork revitalized the trams, improving visitor experiences and safety while preserving park history.
