Andy Noland, Park Manager

It’s a perfect time of the year to really get out and enjoy, experience and explore some of the most AWESOME natural and cultural resources that Florida has to offer.  Your adventure will begin at the entrance and ranger station, where you’ll be greeted with a smile and provided with the information you need to enjoy our beautiful park.  If you like the outdoors, then your gonna love Lake Kissimmee State Park; from camping, picnicking, hiking, biking and horseback riding trails to some of the best fishing opportunities the state has to offer on Florida’s 3rd largest lake, Lake Kissimmee State Park has something for everyone.  If your more into experiencing history, Our 1876 first person interpretive Cow Camp gives you a chance to really experience while you learn about the Florida Cow Hunter and his life and times.

We’re excited to have a new park concession that’s working on expanding new opportunities and services for our visitors, and we have big plans for the future; so stay tuned.  The new Cow Camp Bridge is open and affords an excellent place to take a sunset photo as the sun sets over the old historical cow camp bridge and zipprer canal.  It’s only a short walk from our parking spots or beautiful camp ground to so many things you just need to come visit yourselves.

The other thing that really makes us special and helps to relax our visitors in a natural setting is that we have very poor cell services so you can really unplug, tune out and unwind.  Cell service is hit or miss, but you usually have to find it and it doesn’t find you.
