Andy Noland, Park Manager
It’s a perfect time of the year to really get out and enjoy, experience and explore some of the most awesome natural and cultural resources that Florida has to offer.
Your adventure will begin at the entrance and ranger station, where you’ll be greeted with a smile and provided with the information you need to enjoy our beautiful park. If you like the outdoors, then you will love Lake Kissimmee State Park. It has something for everyone, from camping, picnicking, hiking, biking and horseback riding trails to some of the best fishing opportunities the state has to offer on Florida’s third largest lake.
We’re excited to have a new park concession that’s working on expanding new opportunities and services for our visitors, and we have big plans for the future. Stay tuned. The new Cow Camp Bridge is open and affords an excellent place to take a sunset photo as the sun sets over the old historical cow camp bridge and Zipprer Canal. It’s all only a short walk from our parking spots or beautiful campground.
The other thing that really makes us special and helps our visitors relax in a natural setting is that we have very poor cell service. You can really unplug, tune out and unwind. Cell service is hit or miss, but you usually have to find it and it doesn’t find you.
