I absolutely love spending time with park visitors! If you are looking for a safe place to take the family that has a multitude of things to do, then come to the Florida Caverns State Park!.

Florida Caverns is known for its highly decorated tour cave, but did you know it has approximately 7 miles of multi-use trails that wind through hardwood forests and a flood plain?

If hiking isn’t to your liking, try taking a canoe trip up river. Bring your own or rent one of ours and travel up the Chipola River to see some beautiful springs.

For those of you who simply like to eat and watch others play, we have shelters that can allow that very thing. All shelters have grills for use, and Hickory Pavilion has a playground and a large grassy area for soccer, Frisbee or football.

While visiting the Florida Caverns, you can enjoy a variety of activities such as sunbathing, swimming, camping, boating, snorkeling, canoeing, wildlife viewing, hiking one of our many trails or visiting our gift shop, visitor center and museum.

If fishing is on your itinerary, you can fish the Chipola River by shoreline or by boat. There is something for everyone to enjoy with a multitude of recreational opportunities and abundant wildlife activity. If time is an issue, then stop and ask a ranger what they could recommend for someone with your tastes.

Make the year memorable by visiting Florida Caverns State Park near you!
