Celebrate Kids to Parks Day

Saturday, May 17, is the 15th Annual Kids to Parks Day.

Kids to Parks Day is celebrated nationwide as a day of outdoor play for people of all ages.

Nature or nurture? Why not both? State parks near you are the perfect place to introduce kids to…the Real Florida.

Celebrated annually on the third Saturday of May, Kids to Parks Day helps inspire the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts and future park stewards by providing children with meaningful and memorable experiences in nature.

See if a park near you is hosting an event specially designed for kids, or head out and choose your own adventure. This day is for kids, but it just might bring out the kid in you! Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy Florida’s famous sunshine.

Our Junior Ranger program provides an opportunity for learning about Florida’s natural and cultural resources. Some activities are self-guided. If you aren’t at a park, you can do the Virtual Junior Ranger activities from anywhere. Junior Ranger activities are also available en Español
