Sam Cox, Park Manager

Welcome to Colt Creek State Park. This hidden gem boasts an abundant diversity of wildlife and vegetation for guests to experience. White-tailed deer, American alligators, gopher tortoises, southern fox squirrel and a variety of native and migratory birds and butterflies can be seen at the park. Anglers can target several freshwater species of fish including the largemouth bass, bluegill, bream, and catfish.

The campground here is pristine and easily accessible. Each site has 30-amp and 50-amp hookups, and some sites can accommodate rigs up to 70 feet. We also have a couple of glamping sites for those wanting to still enjoy some of the comforts of home.

Some of my favorite activities at the park include hiking and birdwatching. The trails are well kept and clearly marked. I have been amazed by the number of eagles, owls, and swallow-tailed kites I have seen at the park. You can check our website or the Friends of Colt Creek State Park's Facebook page to follow the latest news or the exciting events happening at the park.

If a tranquil getaway is just what you need, visit us at Colt Creek State Park and experience why Florida State Parks are ...the Real Florida. Hope to see you soon.
