Coming to work at Big Lagoon State Park every day, I am consistently inspired by the beauty of the surroundings. Whether I am on a hiking trail surrounded by scrubby flatwoods, climbing the three-story observation tower overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway, or enjoying a quiet moment on the wooden boardwalk overlooking Long Pond, there is always something different to see in the natural, protected habitats of the park.
I am extremely proud of the teamwork, dedication, integrity and good cheer of the team at Big Lagoon State Park. Whether they are volunteers, citizen support organization members or park rangers, our team members can be found throughout the park with a smile on their face and a willingness to share their knowledge with our visitors.
