Endangered sea turtles use this beach for nesting each year.

Deer Lake Wildlife Viewing

A short walk down the beach to the west will give you a view of the rare coastal dune lake that the park gets its name from and the endangered shorebird nesting area that is home to least terns and snowy plovers.
