Explore the Corridor Week

Volunteer to help preserve the Florida Wildlife Corridor.

Through our partnership with the Florida State Parks Foundation, we are working together to support Live Wildly in their efforts to connect people to wild Florida. Explore the Corridor Week is a statewide drive to encourage exploration and stewardship of Florida's natural spaces. From gardening to removing invasive plants, conducting trail maintenance to picking up litter, a few hours of your time will help our state parks continue to be the best in the nation and give you the chance to explore the beauty of the Florida Wildlife Corridor.

Created in 2021, the Florida Wildlife Corridor is an 18-million-acre network of public and private lands stretching from the Florida Panhandle to the Everglades and home to almost 2,000 different species including the Florida panther, manatees and the Gopher tortoise. In addition to protecting wildlife, conserving these wild spaces provides resilient flood mitigation solutions, protects the clean water that people and nature depend on and supports the critical role of prescribed fire in Florida’s natural ecosystem.
