Mermaid Show and Park Attractions Schedule

September: Mermaid shows will be offered daily at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Seating is first-come, first-served. Theater doors open 30 minutes before show time. Once the theater is full, the doors will close. To ensure the safety of our performers, mermaid shows are subject to cancellation based on inclement weather. The Ranger Experience is offered daily at noon and 2:15 p.m. The Wilderness River Cruise runs between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Seating is first-come, first-served. Guests must sign up for a reserved time at the boat dock. Seating is limited, and not all guests are guaranteed to be able to enjoy this attraction.

  • The Wilderness River Cruise will not be running on October 7, 2024. 
  • The Mermaid Show will be at 1:30 only on October 14-27, 2024.

Buccaneer Bay: The water slides, lazy river, and kiddie pool are closed for the season. The beach is open daily for swimming.

Purchasing Tickets

Can I purchase tickets if my entire party is not together?

No, while purchasing tickets, your entire party must be together in line. Tickets will not be sold to those parties not together. No exceptions!

Can I purchase tickets for guests who have not yet arrived?

No, you will not be permitted to purchase tickets for those guests who have not yet arrived.

What should I have ready when purchasing tickets?

Please have your form of payment ready, this will help to ensure that the line moves quickly. Tickets are not refundable after purchase.

What happens when the park is full?

Once the park is full, tickets will no longer be sold.

What is the policy for inclement weather?

Weeki Wachee Springs management and aquatic safety staff reserve the right to close any attraction due to inclement weather, including the Mermaid Show, Wildlife Show, River Cruise, and the Water Park. This is for the safety of our guests and performers. Return tickets and refunds will not be issued due to inclement weather. Please be aware of this policy before entering the park.

Inside the Park and the Water Attractions

What is the seating policy for the mermaid shows and ranger experience?

The doors for the Mermaid Shows and the Ranger Experience will open 30 minutes prior to show time. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once the theater is at capacity, the doors will close.

Where can I find the shows and attractions inside the park?

Upon entering the park, if you go over the bridge, you will find all our shows, including the Mermaid Show, The Ranger Experience, and The Wilderness River Cruise. We ask that all our guests wear a shirt and shoes while on the show park side. The water park area is to the right, where you will find the lockers, tube rentals, sun and fun.

How do I board the Wilderness River Cruise Ride?

Our Wilderness River Cruise ride is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Your entire party must be present to enter the boarding zone. Please be patient and wait for your turn.

What are the operating hours of the water park attractions?

Waterslides will close at 4:30 pm and swimming will close at 5 pm.

What are the rules for enjoying the water slides?

Those guests who are planning to enjoy the water slides must comply with the following rules. Swimming attire with buckles, rivets, or any sharp objects may not be worn on the water slides. Denim shorts are not permitted on the water slides. Life jackets, masks, goggles, and all electronic devices such as GoPros and smartphones will also not be permitted on the water slides.

What types of floatation devices are allowed in the park?

Tubes and rafts are not permitted inside the park, but child floats and noodles are allowed. Tubes rented from the concessionaire can be used on the lazy river ride.

Are all water park attractions available at all times?

Buccaneer Bay operates seasonally; therefore, all water park attractions may not be available.

What to bring with you and what to leave at home

Are pets allowed in the park?

No, pets are not permitted into the park.

Is smoking allowed in the park?

No, smoking is not permitted within the park or queue line.

What items are not allowed in the park?

Motorized toys or vessels, bicycles, and scooters are not permitted inside the park. Party balloons, streamers, and confetti are environmental hazards and are not permitted inside the park.

What is the dress code for the park?

Weeki Wachee Springs State Park is a family-friendly state park, and all our guests are required to wear appropriate swimsuits.

What is the cooler size limit for the park?

All coolers entering the park must be 45qts or smaller. No exceptions.

Can I bring glass or alcohol into the park?

No, glass and alcohol are not permitted inside the park for the safety of all guests.

Can I grill inside the park?

No, grilling is not permitted inside the park.

What types of tents are allowed in the park?

Only 10x10 pop up tents are permitted in the grass areas.

Can I bring my own personal speaker device into the park?

No, personal speaker devices are not allowed inside the park. We provide music for your enjoyment.
