Description

A Ranger Guided Walk with Park Services Specialist Christopher Dixon on the Flatwoods Trail. Meet at the Flatwoods Trail Trailhead on 30A at 9:45 Central Time. This will be a leisurely walk that we will look at Longleaf Ecosystem and their restoration along with Wet Prairie Ecosystem and it's restoration. This will be Christopher Dixon's final Ranger Guided Walk before his retirement. Wear comfortable walking shoes and weather appropriate clothing, and bring a water bottle. This will be a mile and a half walk and we see the stages of a Longleaf, carnivorous plants, and maybe some Bald Eagles so bring binoculars if you have some. Special Note: Remember Grayton Beach State Park is in Central Time.
