Vendor Services for De Leon Springs State Park

The Sugar Mill is a unique restaurant located inside De Leon Springs State Park, featuring cook-your-own pancakes at the table. Opened in 1961 by Peter and Marjorie Schwarze, we have been serving in the same unusual style ever since. Each of our tables is equipped with a griddle, and we bring you pitchers of homemade pancake batters (both a stone-ground mixture of five different flours, an unbleached white flour, and a gluten-free flour by request).  You may order blueberries, bananas, peanut butter, pecans, chocolate chips, apples or apple sauce to create your choice of pancakes.  We also have sausage, bacon, ham, eggs, and homemade breads and cookies.  Other menu items include sandwiches, salads, and smoothies.  18% gratuity is added to all checks, regardless of the party's size.  Reservations can be made for parties of 10 or more, except on holidays.  Pancakes are $4.95 per person. Side orders of meats, eggs, fruits, beverages range in price from $1.85 - $2.50. Sandwiches and salads range from $4.00- $9.00.  Books and a variety of gift items are also available.  Inner Tubes can be rented for floating in the swimming area.

The Sugar Mill is open 9:00-5:00 on weekdays and 8:00-5:00 on weekends and holidays, serving until 4:00.  Sandwiches and snacks can be purchased at the Take Out Window.

The Fountain of Youth Eco/Heritage tour aboard the M/V Acuera, departing four times daily, is a 50 minute trip through De Leon Springs State Park and Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge.  After finding a comfortable seat, the Acuera will ease away from the dock to begin telling the tale of these "healing waters," named by the Mayaca Indians.  Much of the story will unfold before your eyes as osprey swoop down to pluck a fish for a meal and alligators warm themselves in the sun.  As we explore nature, we will also talk about the area's 6,000 years of history and some myths.  Was Ponce de Leon really here?  Whatever your interest, your are sure to enjoy your time with us.  Piloted by Captain Frank, the M/V Acuera is a U.S. Coast Guard-inspected pontoon boat with all the necessary equipment for your safety and comfort.  The boat is wheelchair accessible with parking nearby.

Tour Times: 10:00, 11:00, Noon & 1:00.  Additional times are available by special arrangement.  Tickets are $14.00 plus tax, children under 4 are free, and a minimum of 8 passengers is required for a trip.  Please remember that tour prices do not include the park entry fee and that tours are subject to the desires of Mother Nature.  If you are waiting to eat at the Sugar Mill Restaurant, you can take the tour and you will not lose your place on the waiting list!
