Visitors can explore the maritime hammocks, ancient sand dunes and historic coquina quarry before taking a dip in the Atlantic along pristine, white-sand beaches.

On a barrier island fronting historic Apalachicola Bay, St. George Island State Park offers visitors a little strip of paradise. Beachside or bayside, the spectacular views of crystal waters, blue skies, and sugary beaches will make you want to stay.

Gamble Rogers is a small park tucked gently between the shores of the Atlantic Ocean and the Intercoastal Waterway. Swim and play in the surf of the Atlantic Ocean, build castles in the golden-brown coquina sand or watch pelicans glide along the dunes and ocean waves.

Boasting more than five miles of pristine beaches and three miles of bike trails, Little Talbot’s untouched natural beauty and diverse ecosystems beg to be explored. Enjoy a morning beachcombing, an afternoon fishing and an evening camping along the eastern salt marshes. There is something for everyone on Little Talbot Island.

Stretching 20 miles into the blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico, St. Joseph Peninsula is a true wildlife haven. Its powdery beaches and bayside salt marshes are nesting grounds for sea turtles, shore birds and the endangered St. Andrews beach mouse.
