Snuggle up with a blanket and popcorn on the front lawn for an outdoor presentation of Walt Disney’s 1993 live-action film, Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey — the story of three pets that escape from a California ranch and set out on a quest through the wilderness to return to their owners.

These fun and friendly group dances are open to everyone and include a caller and a live acoustic band. The gates open at 6:00 p.m. Pre-dance instruction begins at 6:30, and dancing starts at 7:00 p.m. Picnics are welcome and snacks to share are encouraged.

End your weekend on the perfect note with an evening of live music under the moonlight as The Barnacle Society presents DeBlois Milledge. Bringing an acoustic, folk, pop mix to the grounds of one of Coconut Grove’s oldest homes, the concert will highlight the musical stylings of a hometown girl. A Miami native and a prolific songwriter, DeBlois has four solo EPs from her time growing up in South Florida (Palmetto and Pine, Nobody Out, Leviathan and Velveteen) and four more with her San Diego based band The Boundary Birds (While You’re Waiting, Night Painting, Gems, and The Boundary Birds). Fans of female vocalists like Carol King and Sheryl Crow will love DeBlois.

The Mad Hatter Arts Festival returns for its 12th season at The Barnacle. This juried event features artists of all types of media, and this year artisans, repurposed, vintage, antique, and collectible items have been added to the lineup of exhibitors. As always, music is a highlight of the Mad Hatter, plus there is a participatory drum circle, various hat contests to enter and activities for kids of all ages. Food will be available for purchase on site.
