Volunteer Work Day @ Ravine Gardens State Park

Join us at our monthly volunteer work day. This month we will work on cleaning the garden beds and starting to prepare the garden beds for planting in the spring. All ages are invited to enjoy a day of working in the garden. Basic gardening tools will be provided, however if you have your own, feel free to bring them. Participants should wear clothing appropriate for working outdoors and closed-toed shoes. Participants should bring a reusable water bottle, bug spray and sunscreen.

Join us as we celebrate the end of azalea season at our historic 23rd Annual Azalea Days event! Spend the day at Ravine Gardens touring through arts and craft vendors or take a stroll through our historic gardens. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase during the event.

Saturday: This year we are adding live entertainment! The line up along with the schedule of events will be announced on the Friends of Ravine Gardens Facebook page.

Sunday: Guided Hikes will be offered at 11:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm. They will begin at the formal gardens and travel about 1.5 miles down the terraces and over the park's suspension bridge. For those who may have difficulty traversing the uneven terrain on the hike, ranger programs discussing the history of the park will be offered at the large pavilion at 12:00pm and 2:00pm.

Unfortunately, due to Hurricane Irma, we will not be able to provide wagon tours this year.

Plan to make a day of it by visiting the Florida Azalea Festival in downtown Palatka, only minutes from Ravine Gardens State Park. For more information visit www.flazaleafest.com.

IMPORTANT PARKING NOTICE: Parking within the park is limited and fills up quickly. Please plan to park in the parking lot adjacent to the park (near the National Guard Armory).

Cash only. No ATM on site.

All proceeds benefit the Friends of Ravine Gardens.

Dog Days Celebration @ Ravine Gardens State Park

Free with regular park entry fee of $5.00 per vehicle.

Ravine Gardens love's one of our frequent visitors, the dog! Join us as we celebrate a human’s best friend with demonstrations, speakers and dog friendly vendors. Don’t have a best friend yet? No worries, pet adoptions will be available. Come on out and find the love of your life!

Think your pupper has what it takes? Join our Best Dressed Pooch contest at 11:00am. To participate, register here. Prizes will be awarded to the top three best dressed pooches! The contest will begin at 11:00am. Contestants will need to be registered either through Eventbrite or be onsite by 10:15am to register. All pre-registerd contestants must arrive by 10:45am.

Well behaved dogs are invited to participate in the day’s festivities. Please make sure your dog is leashed and is following the Florida State Park’s pet policy.

Kid's Bird House Building Workshop @ Ravine Gardens State Park

Join ranger Jeff as he shows you how to build your very own bird house. Participants will meet at the large pavilion. All materials will be supplied.

Due to the popularity of this event, we will be offering two sessions. The first will be 10:00am - 12:00pm and the second will be 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Space is limited to 12 participants per session and tickets sell out quick! Please visit here to purchase tickets.

The ticket is per bird house, not per person, so please purchase the number of bird houses you would like to build. Ticket includes entry fee into the park.
