– The Department of Environmental Protection’s Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park would like to invite the public to enjoy a performance of Inuksuit, composed by John Luther Adams, Pulitzer Prize and Grammy Award winning composer, and presented by Benjamin Fraley of FSU School of Music.  This percussion performance will feature approximately 30 percussionist musicians staged at the park’s Recreation Area. The piece is intended for outdoor performances and brings awareness not only to the music, but also to the surrounding environment, making this performance appropriately timed to help celebrate Earth Day.  Mr. Fraley has performed this piece all over the country, recorded it for a major label, and talked personally with the composer. Inuksuit is a profound piece of music that brings audience members and performers together.  There is no fee for the performance other than payment of the Park Entry Fee; $4.00 per single occupant vehicle, or $6.00 for up to 8 people in a vehicle.
