Welcome to the NEW Camp Wildlife led by Cape Leisure at Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park! This year's summer camp is better than ever! We're now offering five full days of fun-filled camp with plenty to see and do, including, special animal experiences, animal meal preparation, wildlife hospital and manatee rehabilitation facility tours, hands-on activities, crafts and more! Registration includes a camp t-shirt, lunch, water and snacks. Flori Lindsay of the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission will give us an update on the Florida black bear population which has recovered from historically low numbers and is considered a great conservation success story. At the same time, Florida’s population has greatly increased and bears and people encounter each other more than ever. Learn how to coexist with this incredible species and become BearWise to ensure they remain a valued part of Florida’s natural heritage. The program will be held in the Florida Room at the park’s Visitor Center located on US 19.

Haunted Tram Rides @ Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park

Friday, October 26, 2018 - 6:00pm EDT to Saturday, October 27, 2018 - 10:00pm EDT

The suggested donation for the tram ride is $7.00 for adults (age 13 and over) and $3.00 for children up to age 12. A Haunted House will be set up in the Florida Room from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm. The donation for admission to the Haunted House is $2.00 per person.

Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park and the Friends of Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park are busy planning and setting up for their annual Haunted Tram Rides community event scheduled for the evenings of Friday, October 26 and Saturday, October 27, 2018. The event will begin at 6:00 pm each evening, and run until 10:00 pm. Pepper Creek Trail will be transformed during these evenings into a trail of haunting scenarios that will delight families. This will be the fifteenth year the Friends of Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park will be holding the Haunted Tram Rides event which has attracted thousands of visitors each night. In addition to the Haunted Tram Rides, the event includes family fun such as Halloween costume contests and a Haunted House.
