Fishing at the Skyway Pier

Visit the Skyway Fishing Pier, the longest fishing pier in the world. The pier is located at the north and south sides of the mouth of Tampa Bay providing a saltwater fishing experience that you won’t soon forget.

Some of the most popular species found while fishing at this pier include snook, tarpon, grouper, black sea bass, Spanish mackerel, king mackerel, cobia, sheepshead, red snapper and pompano.

  • Open 24 hours a day, visitors can enjoy stunning sunrise and sunsets every day of the year.
  • There is a $4 fee per vehicle ($12 for oversized vehicles), plus an additional $4 fishing fee per person. Once admission has been paid to fish on the pier, fishing licenses are not needed and are covered in the fishing fee, which is good for 24 hours from purchase.
  • For your convenience, each end of the pier has a bait shop, where you can rent equipment and purchase fishing supplies, snacks and beverages.
  • Restroom facilities are available.
