Description

October is the perfect time of year to enjoy a guided hike as the sun sets along the Sandhill Trail on your way to one of the oldest graveyards in Florida.

Learn about the history of the long-forgotten town of Columbus, a community that once flourished in the area that makes up Suwannee River State Park. Hear the heartbreaking love story of the Cannon's, one of the families whose last resting place is here in Columbus Cemetery, and how the Civil War forever altered the course of their lives.
