Do you love wildflowers and getting involved in the community? Join us on planting day (10:30am-12:30pm) to celebrate our public lands and help create a wildflower garden at Tomoka State Park. Meet at the rec hall building (across from the park store) at 10:30am for sign-in and instructions. There will be opportunities for all ages to help plant the garden- raking, watering, trimming, seed dispersal/planting and more. We recommend you wear sunscreen, a hat, bug spray and wear close-toed shoes. Water will be on hand so bring a refillable water bottle/container. Be sure to bring out your family to learn about native plants, wildflower gardens and help make a home for pollinators and wildlife. We will have wildflower, native plants and pollinator information available to take home to help create your Fall garden. Free entrance for volunteer participants. Call 386-676-4050 to register or for more information.
