Why Native Plants Talk

Tuesday, February 11, 2020 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EST
Koreshan State Park

3800 Corkscrew Road
Estero FL 33928

$5/vehicle 2-8 passengers, $4/vehicle single occupancy, $2/passenger and bicycles.

Join park volunteer and Florida Naturalist, Tony, as he discusses why native plants are important to the ecosystem. More people are becoming more aware and better educated about our environment. There seems to be a sincere desire to live in such a way that our impact on the environment is lessened. Perceptions about nature and beauty are changing, too. While a green lawn was once thought of as beautiful, natural landscapes are now valued for their biodiversity as well as their beauty. The Native Plant Society will be on hand after the talk to answer any native plant questions and sell native plants. Talk will be in the Art Hall located within the Historic Settlement area of the park.
