Suwannee River State Park

3631 201st Path
Live Oak FL 32060

Day Use Area of Park

The hike is free with the park admission which is $5 per car up to eight people. All campground and cabins guests are free.

Take a step back in time as a park ranger guides you along the majestic Sandhill Trail. As the towering pines loom overhead, you will learn about the ghost town of Columbus. A once prosperous community, it's only trace is a small cemetery nestled deep in the park. Along the way you can learn how the restoration of the longleaf pines is helping ensure the gopher tortoise, a keystone species, is thriving here at Suwannee River State Park. Bring your lunch and enjoy our picnic area afterwards overlooking the historic Suwannee River!
