Pancakes With A Ranger

Fort White FL 32038
South Entrance: Visitor Center
$5 per vehicle for park entry; no additional fees for program participation
Come enjoy free pancakes, coffee, and orange juice on a Saturday morning as prepared by our park staff and volunteers. This is a great opportunity to ask your burning questions about the park, such as how to become a ranger, how to volunteer, and more. Or, you can simply enjoy warm pancakes with the morning sounds of the Ichetucknee. We want everyone to be able to enjoy their pancakes. If you require gluten-free pancakes or have any other food allergy concerns, please call 386-324-5001 or email caitlin.gonsiorek@floridadep.gov in advance so that we can be be prepared. For families planning out their day, we have coloring sheets, a memory game, and a puzzle always available in our visitor center. The visitor center also has exhibits to explore and is the headquarters of our Junior Ranger program. Outside just beside the building is the start of our 0.5 mile loop, the Discovery Trail, where you have the chance to see gopher tortoises. This program will be immediately followed by "Storytime & Hike with a Ranger" While the pancakes are free, please still pay for state park entry. It goes a long way to helping us protect the park for future generations. Coffee and pancakes are generously donated by the Friends of Ichetucknee Springs State Park.
