This is a volunteer opportunity for the public to join park staff and other groups, as we beautify an area of the park which hosts old-growth Camellia plants.
These Camellias were planted years ago, and are a significant part of our cultural past. We will provide tools and training, as well as refreshments and a shaded area. Volunteers who participate will be able to enter the park for free for the day, provided they mention the event and intend to participate when they arrive at the entrance/ranger station. All ages are encouraged to participate.
Afterward, enjoy the beautiful setting and the fruits of your labor, relax in the park, swim in our natural spring and soak in the more than 6,000 years of history and culture that surrounds!
