Join us as we celebrate our rich history at Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park. The third weekend of each month, Fort Taylor is transformed into a Union-occupied encampment. Local and regional re-enactors portray life as it was in 1861 during the American Civil War. Firing and cooking demonstrations are all part of the excitement as our volunteers take visitors on a trip through time to see, hear and smell what life was like in a Federal Fort during the War. Participation varies, and usually depends upon weather conditions and other events in town. For more information, or to get involved, please contact Kevin Bowes at email@example.com. Thank you for your support of Fort Taylor and "see you in the past."
