Tomoka State Park will host a shoreline clean-up as part of the International Coastal Clean-up Day, the world's largest volunteer effort for our oceans and waterways. Waterways trash can entrap and strangle wildlife so we need your help. Cleanup supplies (trash bags and disposable gloves) will be provided but if you have extension trash grabbers and work gloves please bring them. Water will be on hand so please bring a refillable water container. Participants should wear closed-toed shoes, a hat, sunscreen and bug spray. Volunteers should meet at the corner of Inglesa Avenue (1 mile south of the park entrance) and Beach Street, parking is available. So join us from 10:30am-12:30pm then enjoy the park the rest of the day on us. Be sure to check out the riverfront parkstore, Tomoka Outpost for cold beverages, snacks, canoe/kayak rentals, souvenirs and more. Entrance fee waived for participants. Call 386-676-4050 to sign-up.
