International Coastal Cleanup at Camp Helen

Sign-in & Orientation will be outside beside the Visitor Center of park.

  • Park entry fees will be waved for registered participants.
  • Please acquire a parking pass at the registration table outside of the Visitor Center.

Join us at Camp Helen State Park as we participate in the Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup.

This event is sponsored in coordination with the Lake Powell Community Alliance, who are dedicated to protecting this precious resource, Lake Powell.

This is the seventh year of participation in the event and to date, over 20,000 pounds of trash have been removed from Lake Powell and its watershed.

  • Sign-in will begin at approximately 8 a.m., with the cleanup lasting until noon. What to bring: closed-toe shoes, hat, sunscreen, grabber, work gloves, water or refillable bottle.
  • Please consider bringing you own boat, canoe, kayak or paddleboard and join the armada of cleanup crews! If you do bring your watercraft, please bring required life jackets, whistle, safety equipment.
  • We will provide: vinyl gloves, garbage bags, data cards, coffee, donuts and water!
