This concert is free for park visitors paying regular park entrance fees. The Gypsy Spark Band is from lower Alabama, they will tantalize your senses with both original and familiar tunes, crafted by front man Jimmy Lumpkin and Brenda Bledsoe. Jimmy is an accomplished singer, songwriter and guitarist with an intoxicating voice and a stirring, soulful bend to his own brand of southern-roots folk music. His recent album titled "Home", was released in 2017. Talia Lumpkin adds rhythmic percussion and sweet harmonies to give this group an uplifting tribal sound. Wyoming native, Brenda Bledsoe is a talented multi-instrumentalist who delights listeners with her crystal clear voice, thoughtful lyrics and captivating flute sounds. GypsySpark brings something different, with an acoustic-centered sound that intertwines flute and guitar. It's a little nostalgic of 60's folk, but also something current and intangible. Elements of a wide-range of genres could be guessed at for inspiration. Their 2019 debut album, World Shakers, is a compilation of songs meant to inspire people to make wise choices for the Earth, and all of life in its delicate balance. You will also hear tales of cheer and woe as they seek to transport you to other realms with their music.
