Description

Come experience the REAL Florida by way of kayak!

Explore St. Lucie Inlet Preserve State Park on a guided tour that takes visitors through the Indian River and the narrows to Jupiter Island. This is a unique opportunity to visit one of Florida's magnificent barrier islands.

You will paddle through mangrove-lined creeks, and the tour will break at a pristine, undeveloped beach. Both the mangrove and the beach dune communities are home to numerous rare species of plants and animals, including some that are endemic or endangered.

Your guide will point out various species and provide insight into the management activities used on the island.

  • Visitors of all ages and skill levels are welcome
  • The tour should take approximately 3 hours
  • Reservations are required - please contact the park office at (772) 219-1880 to make a reservation

What to Bring:

A kayak (if not renting), clothes and shoes that can get wet, drinking water, snacks, lunch (if you'd like to picnic on the beach), hat, sunscreen, bug repellant, camera and beach towel.
