Cracker village across from the Silver River museum.
Free with park admission.
Discover what life was like at the turn of the century in the Florida piney woods. Cracker homestead is a replica of a 19th-century pioneer settlement, and collection of buildings represents a small cracker settlement dating to the 1890s. Schoolhouses, churches and blacksmith shops would have been found in settlements that homesteaders visited to attend social gatherings and barter for supplies. Buildings will be open, and on most tours the blacksmith's forge will be fired up.
