The grounds will be bustling with soldiers in period costumes involved in firing demonstrations, marching drills, cooking and daily activities. Ladies in their dresses, sutlers displaying their wares, fife players and drummer boys bring every part of the civil war era to life. Come join in this unique, family friendly event.
Florida Safari - Main Entrance @ Silver Springs State ParkSunday, October 7, 2018 - 10:00am EDT

Ranger Station, 352-236-7148 ext. 4
On the first Sunday of every month join park staff for a tram tour of the longleaf pine forest. Learn about the park's land management practices and how we care for our natural resources. Wildlife sightings are common but not guaranteed. Possible fauna seen during this program include white-tailed deer, gopher tortoise, Sherman's fox squirrel, and wild turkey.
Along the way the tram will stop so participants can take a short guided walk on the swamp trail. A park ranger will lead visitors down the boardwalk to the Silver River. After the hike the tram will return to the main entrance.
A limit of 15 spaces are available. To R.S.V.P., call the ranger station, 352-236-7148 ext. 4. You may only reserve a space for the upcoming month's program.
