Guided Kayak Tour @ St. Lucie Inlet Preserve State Park

Experience St. Lucie Inlet Preserve State Park by way of kayak. This is a unique opportunity to visit one of Florida's magnificent barrier islands. You will paddle through mangrove lined creeks and visit a pristine, undeveloped beach. Your guide will point out various plant and animal species, including some that are rare or endangered, as well as providing insight into the management activities used at the park. Visitors of all ages and skill levels are welcome. The tour is approximately 3 hours long.

Free with park entry fee of $2.00.

Kayak Rentals: $26.50 for single, $37.10 for double.

Reservations are required, please contact Park office (772) 219-1880.

What to bring: drinking water, snacks, sunscreen and bug repellent.

No pets or alcoholic beverages are allowed.

Junior Ranger Program @ Devil's Millhopper Geological State Park

Come visit our Junior Ranger table on Sunday from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm

Learn how to become a Junior Ranger and join us for lots of cool nature activities! We will be doing critter coloring pages, native vs. invasive plants, and wildlife watching throughout the day. These activities are welcome for all ages, however the Junior Ranger program is usually appropriate for children aged 6 and up. Participants can complete the Junior Ranger CORE activities, collect passport stamps, and earn an official Junior Ranger badge, patch, or pin!

No reservation required. Meet at the table under the right side of the Millhopper's visitor center.

Join us for a moonrise at the beach! You will learn fun and interesting facts about the moon and our coastal ecosystem. Enjoy the spectacular view! Bring binoculars and a camera for beautiful photo opportunities!

All ages are welcome, minors must be accompanied by an adult. This event is subject to cancellation due to weather conditions. We will be meeting at the beachside pavilion on the east side of the park.

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park invites you to join us for a full moon paddle. As the evening twilight fades to dark, we will ease our kayaks, canoes or SUPs into Lake Hall to enjoy a peaceful moonlit paddle with our guide Park Ranger Scott Groves. The park has a limited number of kayaks available, so we encourage you to bring your own. Please contact the park to RSVP or to reserve one of our kayaks for this program.
