Learning about and purchasing native plants can be a daunting task, but it just got easier! The Coccoloba Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society volunteers will be selling native plants at the Koreshan State Historic Site Farmers Market Sundays, 8:00am - 1 pm.  Experts will be on hand to help answer your questions and teach you about the wonderful benefits of adding native plants to your landscaping. On the first Sunday of every month join park staff for a tram tour of the longleaf pine forest. Learn about the park's land management practices and how we care for our natural resources. Wildlife sightings are common but not guaranteed. Possible fauna seen during this program include white-tailed deer, gopher tortoise, Sherman's fox squirrel, and wild turkey.

Along the way the tram will stop so participants can take a short guided walk on the swamp trail. A park ranger will lead visitors down the boardwalk to the Silver River. After the hike the tram will return to the main entrance.

A limit of 15 spaces are available. To R.S.V.P., call the ranger station, 352-236-7148 ext. 4. You may only reserve a space for the upcoming month's program.

Enter the park through the main entrance located at 5656 East Silver Springs Boulevard (State Road 40).
