Nature Trail Walk @ Curry Hammock State Park

Join a Ranger for a one-hour guided walk along our moderately difficult, 1.5-mile hiking trail. Come out and enjoy a leisurely stroll through our rockland hammock and take in the flora and fauna of the Florida Keys. Along the way, you will gain an appreciation for the difficulties plants and animals face in the sub-tropical ecosystem.

Additional Information:

Bug spray, drinking water and closed-toed shoes or hiking boots are recommended.

The narrow trail limits the walk to twelve people, therefore reservations are recommended.

Join us at Henderson Beach State Park as we learn about the sea turtles that are very special visitors in our park during this time of the year. Participants will learn about the sea turtles life cycle as well as their habitat, behavior and the important role they play in "the Real Florida!" Here at the park, we have many nests and are very excited to have you visit and learn how important sea turtles are to our coastal waters. Learn how your actions can help preserve these majestic turtles for generations to come! All ages are welcome, minors must be accompanied by an adult. We will be meeting under beach pavilion E. Program is free with park admission!
