Welcome to the NEW Camp Wildlife led by Cape Leisure at Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park! This year's summer camp is better than ever! We're now offering five full days of fun-filled camp with plenty to see and do, including, special animal experiences, animal meal preparation, wildlife hospital and manatee rehabilitation facility tours, hands-on activities, crafts and more! Registration includes a camp t-shirt, lunch, water and snacks. Two camp sessions will be held from 9 am to 5 pm: June 18-22 for 8-10 year olds and July 16-20 for 11-12 year olds. 2018 Summer Adventure Camp - Museum Area @ Silver Springs State ParkFriday, June 22, 2018 - 8:30am to 4:00pm EDT
$185 per session, per camper, includes all materials, such as rocket kit, art supplies, t-shirt, snacks, lunch, insurance, and admission fees. Personal checks, money orders, and cash are accepted. No credit cards. Make checks and money orders payable to: Silver River Museum.

From "Spears to Rockets", campers will learn about Stone Age Tools, Pioneer Ingenuity, and Modern Marvels while doing activities that center on team-building games, fun crafts, and friendly competitions. Educational topics cover a wide range of Florida history and science, such as:
- Ice Age: tomahawk throws, archery, and archaeology dig
- Pioneer Life: exploring the pine forest, animal track ID, campfire cooking, candle making
- Modern times: pontoon boat ride, rocket launching, movie night
This camp is a program of Marion County Public Schools and the Silver River Museum & Environmental Education Center.
- This is a day camp with no overnight stays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- There are three one-week sessions (June 4 through June 22)
- Ages 8-12.
Enter the park through the camping & museum entrance, 1425 NE 58th Avenue, (also known as State Road 35 or Baseline Rd.) to access the Silver River Museum.

Campers are accepted to the Silver River Museum Summer Adventure Camp on a first come, first serve basis. Capacity will vary. Payment must accompany registration forms. When a camp session is booked full, campers may be placed on a waiting list. In the event of an opening, campers on waiting lists will be contacted in the order in which their applications were received.

Cost is $3/car or Florida Annual Park Pass plus $5/person activity fee for ages 13 and up.
Participants will make a long leaf pine needle basket class with all materials provided.
Turtle Talk: A Sea Turtle's Journey @ Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area at Flagler BeachFriday, June 22, 2018 - 2:00pm to 3:00pm EDT
Join a park ranger for a glimpse into the intricate world of remarkable sea turtles. Participants will learn about the sea turtles' life cycle as well as their habitat, behavior and the important role they play in "the Real Florida!" Here at the park, we have many nests and are very excited to have you visit and learn how important sea turtles are to our coastal waters. Learn how your actions can help preserve these majestic turtles for generations to come! All ages are welcome, minors must be accompanied by an adult. This event is subject to cancellation due to weather conditions. We will be meeting at the beachside pavilion on the east side of the park. Program is free with park admission!

Join us the 4th Friday of every month, for an evening full of music and entertainment featuring a live drum circle. From 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., come and enjoy this musical experience. Like all public drum circles, all voices are welcome. There are a few extra drums but if you have some please bring them along. Also, to increase your comfort, we recommend that you bring a blanket or a chair. In addition to drumming and percussion, singing and dancing are highly encouraged! An audience is always needed so feel free to watch and listen.
