Learning about and purchasing native plants can be a daunting task, but it just got easier! The Coccoloba Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society volunteers will be selling native plants at the Koreshan State Historic Site Farmers Market Sundays, 8:00am - 1 pm. Experts will be on hand to help answer your questions and teach you about the wonderful benefits of adding native plants to your landscaping. Come out and help the Oleta Trail Blazer mountain bike group as they volunteer to help improve the mountain biking trails in the park. Volunteering with this group includes but is not limited to cutting small exotic trees, adding dirt to trails, repairing ramps and bridges, building new features to the trail, trimming back vegetation and much more! if you love to ride in Oleta River State Park and also want to help make the park even better, we hope to see you at a volunteer day in the future! Come visit our Junior Ranger table on Sunday from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm Learn how to become a Junior Ranger and join us for lots of cool nature activities! We will be doing critter coloring pages, native vs. invasive plants, and wildlife watching throughout the day. These activities are welcome for all ages, however the Junior Ranger program is usually appropriate for children aged 6 and up. Participants can complete the Junior Ranger CORE activities, collect passport stamps, and earn an official Junior Ranger badge, patch, or pin!

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park invites you to join us for an easy bike ride around Lake Overstreet. The trail is roughly three miles of wooded, natural beauty. This is an unpaved dirt trail. During the ride, we will stop at two observation areas to see the wildlife on the lake. If you do not have a bike, we have a limited number available for rent. Bike helmets must be worn while riding.
