Florida Pro Surf Competition @ Sebastian Inlet State Park

The Florida Pro will feature a WOMEN'S QS 6000 competition offering the largest cash prize in the U.S. ($55,500), along with a MEN'S QS 1500 competition.

The Florida Pro will also host a "Champions & Icons" featuring former World Surf League champions and professionals.

We are expecting vehicle parking to fill up at peak times during the Florida Pro Surf Competition. There will be a $5.00 per person shuttle bus service provided from the South Beach Community Center, about 6 miles north on State Road A1A. The shuttle buses will be running every day of the Florida Pro Surf Competition, every fifteen minutes. Saturday, January 20 and Sunday, January 21 we are excepting vehicle parking to be at full capacity.

Take a leisurely one-mile walk over the estuary and along the beach with a Park Ranger to discover what kind of natural treasures wash up on the shores of Lovers Key State Park. Learn about seashells, crustaceans, starfish and other creatures that can be found in our waters. Come prepared to get wet. Due to limited space, reservations are required. Call 239-463-4588.

Join us for a Guided Walking Tour of the Historic Koreshan Settlement. Explore structures and gardens of the 19th century utopian settlement and learn about these idealistic pioneers. The walking tour is about an hour and a half and is accessible to all.

Additional Information:

Park admission is $2 for bicycle/pedestrian, $4 for one person in a vehicle, $5 for up to 8 persons in a vehicle. Walking tour lasts approximately 1 hour and is mostly outdoors on a crushed shell path. Please bring water, proper footware, and sun protection. Wheelchair available upon request.

Requests for these and other tours for clubs, home school associations, and other groups can be made by calling the Ranger Station at (239) 992-0311. We make every effort to accommodate all groups, however we may not be able to fulfill requests made with less than a two week notice.

Music Jam @ Oscar Scherer State Park

All proceeds for the event benefit the future Environmental Learning Center at Lovers Key State Park. Cash bar will be available as well.
