Meet in the field near the Historic Settlement’s Industrial area for a great workout with coach Johnathan Blevins! Weights are provided. Bring water, yoga mat, and towel. $15 cash per session. Free Park admission.

Boot Camp at the Park is a fun and exciting workout for people of all ages and fitness levels! Don't be afraid of the name, just come and check it out! All participants have different goals, body types, and limitations, so every exercise comes with modifications if they are necessary. Whether you are just starting out or are pretty far into it, Johnathan can cater the workout to make it fit your workout needs. The best thing about Boot Camp is the camaraderie and the amount of fun you have each and every session! Every new member, no matter where they come from are welcomed to the group just like another member of the family. Take a 90-minute paddle around one of the islands that comprise Curry Hammock State Park. This ranger-led tour will give you an appreciation for the fragility of the nearshore ecosystem. You will see some of the damage man has caused and learn of the ongoing effort to preserve this valuable resource.

Tours are limited to six kayaks. Visitors should bring their own or rent from the park.

Registration is recommended.

Wear comfortable shoes and wake up with a morning exercise session led by Kate Isles! Exercises do not require participants to sit or lay down and program is considered accessible. Located in the Screen Room by the Nature Center.

Paddle along South Creek and learn about the park and the estuarine critters. Please register between 8:00am and 8:45am at the Ranger Station. May bring own vessel or rent one from the Ranger Station. Some paddling experience recommended as it is a group tour.

Note: South Creek is a tidal water, therefore if water is too shallow for a paddle, a walk will be offered instead.

Guided Tours of Historic Koreshan Settlement @ Koreshan State Park

Join us for a Guided Walking Tour of the Historic Koreshan Settlement. Explore structures and gardens of the 19th century utopian settlement and learn about these idealistic pioneers. The walking tour is about an hour and a half and is accessible to all.

Additional Information:

Park admission is $2 for bicycle/pedestrian, $4 for one person in a vehicle, $5 for up to 8 persons in a vehicle. Walking tour lasts approximately 1 hour and is mostly outdoors on a crushed shell path. Please bring water, proper footware, and sun protection. Wheelchair available upon request.

Requests for these and other tours for clubs, home school associations, and other groups can be made by calling the Ranger Station at (239) 992-0311. We make every effort to accommodate all groups, however we may not be able to fulfill requests made with less than a two week notice.

Game Night @ Oscar Scherer State Park
