Learning about and purchasing native plants can be a daunting task, but it just got easier! The Coccoloba Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society volunteers will be selling native plants at the Koreshan State Historic Site Farmers Market Sundays, 8:00am - 1 pm.  Experts will be on hand to help answer your questions and teach you about the wonderful benefits of adding native plants to your landscaping. The New Year is right around the corner! Finish off 2017 with a First Day Hike at Dudley Farm Historic State Park. On December 31st, you can join a tour that will guide the visitor around the farm that was developed by PBH Dudley. Walk around the 1880's farmstead and learn about a way of life long ago. This hike is half a mile and starts at 10:00 a.m. Please meet at the Visitor Center and be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.

Come visit our Junior Ranger table from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Learn how to become a Junior Ranger and join us for lots of cool nature activities! We will also be doing critter coloring pages and an Enviroscape water cycle demonstration throughout the day. These activities are welcome for all ages, however the Junior Ranger program is usually appropriate for children aged 6 and up. Participants can complete the Junior Ranger CORE activities, collect passport stamps, and earn an official Junior Ranger badge, patch, or pin!

No reservation required. Meet at the table under the right side of the Devil's Millhopper Visitor Center.

First Day Hike - Bike Ride 2018 @ Tallahassee - St. Marks Historic Railroad State Trail

Bring in the New Year with a self-guided bike ride. Cyclists enjoy this paved, mostly level trail because it offers a scenic journey from Wakulla Station to the St. Marks River in lovely St. Marks, Florida. Take the opportunity to enjoy the winter woods, farm fields and quaint small town in which you can dine on fresh seafood. Bike racks, restrooms and full facilities are available at the Wakulla Station trailheads. The round trip is approximately 14 miles. Helmets are highly recommended for all cyclists and Florida law requires helmets for cyclists age 16 and under.
