Learn how to become a Junior Ranger and join us for lots of cool nature activities! Children can complete the Junior Ranger CORE activities, collect passport stamps, and earn an official Junior Ranger badge, patch, or pin! Junior Ranger activities are appropriate for children aged 6 and up, but we will also have critter coloring pages and smokey bear stories available for all ages.
No reservation required. Meet us inside the visitor center located within the main park entrance, off US 441 in Micanopy.

Join Topsail Hill Preserve State Park and the South Walton Mosquito Control District (SWMCD) for a Mosquito program on December 15, 2017 from 10:00a.m. - 11:00a.m. Come learn about mosquitoes, the methods used by SWMCD to interact with them as well as the five things you can do to minimize their presence around your house. This program meets in the Clubhouse and is free with regular park admission. Topsail Talks is a monthly educational discovery series with presentations from organizations and government agencies from outside the park. The next two presentations in the series are “WWII: Bombs Away” by Coffeen Nature Preserve on January 12, 2018 and “Topsail’s Artificial Reef” by South Walton Artificial Reef Association on February 9, 2018. Both start at 10a.m. in the Clubhouse.

The Tour is 2 hours long and $35.00 per Adult or $25.00 per College Student.
Have you ever gone Kayaking at night? Sunset Kayak/SUP Tours are available every Friday evening at the BG Oleta River Outdoor Center. We paddle for 1 hour before arriving at Sandspur Island where we will take a break and watch the sun go down. Once the sun has set, your Guide will turn on bright colorful lights located on the front and back of your Kayak or SUP before a 30 minute paddle back to the Outdoor Center.

The Friends of Rainbow Springs are proud to present Santa Over the Rainbow 2017. Bring the whole family to Rainbow Springs State Park for an evening extravaganza. Christmas lights will illuminate the park and welcome Santa, who arrives at 7:00pm on the river via his pontoon sleigh boat! Photos with Santa for sale. Enjoy food, music, and an array of crafts and gifts. No pets please.

Join your fellow campers and watch a movie together. Be sure to put in your vote for which movie. Options displayed in the Ranger Station and at the Nature Center weekly. Refreshments provided. Campers may bring their own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Program is for registered campers only as it takes place after hours. Located in the Nature Center.
Winter Waterland @ Weeki Wachee Springs State ParkFriday, December 15, 2017 - 7:00pm to 11:00pm EST
$8 for adults and $5 for kids ages 6-12. Kids five and under are free.
The Friends of Weeki Wachee Springs State Park proudly host the annual holiday festival, Winter Waterland 2017. The event is December 8-9 & 15-16, from 7-11 PM. Admission is only $8 for adults, and $5 for kids ages 6-12. Kids five and under are free. State Park annual passes do not apply, as this is a fundraising event by the Friends of Weeki Wachee.
Activities include the World-Famous Weeki Wachee Mermaids performing a holiday-themed performance (Polar Express), “Mermaid Express” (River Cruise), “Illumination of Lights” Light Show, Live Nativity,and more! And of course, Santa and his mermaid elves will be available for pictures.
You can purchase tickets for this event in advance by visiting the main gate at the park between 9 AM- 4 PM. Phone or online ticket sales are NOT available.
This is a Friends event. Park passes do not apply.
