Paddle along South Creek and learn about the park and the estuarine critters. Please register between 8:00am and 8:45am at the Ranger Station. May bring own vessel or rent one from the Ranger Station. Some paddling experience recommended as it is a group tour.
Note: South Creek is a tidal water, therefore if water is too shallow for a paddle, a walk will be offered instead.

Join our volunteer Master Naturalist Dale Grussing on a beach walk. You will learn about the natural beach ecosystem including native plant and animal species, nesting sea turtles, geology of the park, waves, currents, and rip tides. This tour combines morning exercise with an educational eco tour.
All ages are welcome and minors must be accompanied by an adult. Walking shoes and appropriate dress, sunscreen, and drinking water are recommended. Participants should be able to walk in sand and uneven terrain on the beach. Special accommodations are available upon request prior to the event. This event is subject to cancellation due to weather conditions. We will be meeting at the beachside pavilion located on the east side of the park. You can register for this program at Eventbrite.

Join Assistant Park Manager, Patrick, along with our Park Ranger Randy, for a Guided Forest Nature Trail Walk. Learn the different plant life communities and observe wildlife in their natural habitat. Gain valuable knowledge of the importance of protecting our natural resources, as well as maintaining our protected forest. Parking will be located at the New Trail Head, located on the North side of 30A, across from Grayton Beach State Park entrance.
The degree of difficulty for this hike is moderate. Pets are allowed on this event as long as they are well-behaved and must be on a leash at all times.

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park invites you to join us for a night under the stars. Join Ranger Cassia on the Gardens Lawn to talk about the major constellations and stars in the Winter Night Sky! This will be a beginner's class without the use of telescopes. Learn how to study the stars and planets with the naked eye and binoculars. Registration is required.
The program will be held on the lawn at the Visitor Center.
Please bring your binoculars if you have them. We do have a few to loan out for the program.
Bring insect repellant, and a blanket if you like.
