Welcome to "Dirty Fridays" at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park! Here is a wonderful, low-key volunteer opportunity to get a little dirty on the First Friday of every month while helping to beautify the park grounds! Projects include working in the butterfly garden, driveway medians and other fun landscape features that make Topsail one of a kind! Bring some water, gloves, insect repellent and a lunch to enjoy afterwards! Garden groups are always welcome to share in the fun!

Learn how to become a Junior Ranger and join us for lots of cool nature activities! Children can complete the Junior Ranger CORE activities, collect passport stamps, and earn an official Junior Ranger badge, patch, or pin! Junior Ranger activities are appropriate for children aged 6 and up, but we will also have critter coloring pages and smokey bear stories available for all ages.
No reservation required. Meet us inside the visitor center located within the main park entrance, off US 441 in Micanopy.

The Tour is 2 hours long and $35.00 per Adult or $25.00 per College Student.
Have you ever gone Kayaking at night? Sunset Kayak/SUP Tours are available every Friday evening at the BG Oleta River Outdoor Center. We paddle for 1 hour before arriving at Sandspur Island where we will take a break and watch the sun go down. Once the sun has set, your Guide will turn on bright colorful lights located on the front and back of your Kayak or SUP before a 30 minute paddle back to the Outdoor Center.

Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park will be having a Full Moon Lighthouse Holiday Celebration Friday, December 1st. starting at 5:30pm located in the lighthouse compound. Santa will be making his way to the Lighthouse Keepers Cottage and children will receive a free stocking while supplies last. In addition, the Lighthouse will be Red and Green for that evening, it will be snowing at the entrance into the Keepers Cottage. There will be food and drink sponsored by Boaters Grill,face painting for the children. St. Christopher’s School Choir will be singing Christmas Carols. There will be a bon fire out next to the seawall for everyone to enjoy.

The Department of Environmental Protection’s Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park and the Friends of Maclay Gardens, Inc. invite the public to attend the 29th Annual Camellia Christmas. The evening is filled with music, hot cider, cookies and candlelight. The Historic Maclay House will be decorated and silent auction items available to bid on. Bring your family out to enjoy this old fashioned introduction to the holiday season. The Maclay House will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the weekend for your enjoyment.

Moon Over the Mounds @ Crystal River Archaeological State ParkFriday, December 1, 2017 - 8:00pm to 9:00pm EST

This event is a torch lit tour of the Crystal River site led by professional interpretive guides through the moonlit Crystal River Archaeological State Park. This site is a world-famous pre-Columbian ceremonial center on Florida's west coast. Travel back in time to experience the park under the full moon to learn what life was like living on the Crystal River from 500 BC to AD 950.
The Moon over the Mounds tours will begin at the Park Museum building at 8:00 p.m. and end at approximately 9:30 p.m. Suggested donations of $5.00 per person will be applied to sustaining future interpretive programming in the park.
The park is located at 3400 N Museum Pointe; northwest of the Crystal River mall. Reservations are not required, but appreciated for larger groups. For more information, view the Participant Requirements

"By combining health-fitness with outdoor recreation, Eco Fitness appeals to those seeking to increase time spent exercising and connecting with nature. Through a strategically formulated exercise regimen, participants will see adaptation to their physical abilities as well as an increase in their love for the great outdoors.
Eco Fitness Classes incorporate Kayaking/Stand Up Paddleboarding, Mountain Biking, Swimming and Plyometrics over the course of 2 hours for the low price of $40.00 per class.
Classes are held the first 2 weeks of the month; Wednesday evenings, Friday and Saturday mornings."
