Guided Paddle (Or Walk) @ Oscar Scherer State Park

Paddle along South Creek and learn about the park and the estuarine critters. Please register between 8:00am and 8:45am at the Ranger Station. May bring own vessel or rent one from the Ranger Station. Some paddling experience recommended as it is a group tour.

Note: South Creek is a tidal water, therefore if water is too shallow for a paddle, a walk will be offered instead.

Join Park Rangers Patrick and Jacob for a Guided Nature Walk through the dune ecosystem.  Learn about the important part that the sand dune ecosystems play in protecting the coastal habitat as well as the wildlife that call the sand dunes and coastal dune lake home.  The hike will take approximately 1 hour. Get out and get fit in the "Real Florida".

Additional Information:

Participants are advised to wear good hiking shoes, bring water, insect repellant and sunscreen. Pets and alcoholic beverages are not allowed on this hike. Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
