Learning about and purchasing native plants can be a daunting task, but it just got easier! The Coccoloba Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society volunteers will be selling native plants at the Koreshan State Historic Site Farmers Market Sundays, 8:00am - 1 pm. Experts will be on hand to help answer your questions and teach you about the wonderful benefits of adding native plants to your landscaping. Guided Scrub Walk @ Oscar Scherer State ParkSunday, October 8, 2017 - 8:30am EDT

This weekly walk begins at the Nature Center and includes an informative walk through an ancient dune system. This unique habitat is home to the threatened Florida scrub-jay and a variety of plants and other animals. Participants should wear comfortable footwear for walking in soft sand. Cameras and binoculars are suggested. Space is limited to 15 people.

This program will allow visitors to interact with living historians to experience life in the fort as it was in 1864.
