Come out to the Millhopper for a self-guided hike along Sink Trail. In celebration of Literacy Month we have created a "Reading Trail" with six stops - each revealing a piece of the Legend of Devil's Millhopper.
Guided Tours of Historic Koreshan Settlement @ Koreshan State ParkFriday, September 8, 2017 - 10:00am to 11:30am EDT
Guided Tours are $2 per person, $1 for children under 6, with regular park admission.

Join us for a Guided Walking Tour of the Historic Koreshan Settlement. Explore structures and gardens of the 19th century utopian settlement and learn about these idealistic pioneers. The walking tour is about an hour and a half and is accessible to all.
Park admission is $2 for bicycle/pedestrian, $4 for one person in a vehicle, $5 for up to 8 persons in a vehicle. Walking tour lasts approximately 1 hour and is mostly outdoors on a crushed shell path. Please bring water, proper footware, and sun protection. Wheelchair available upon request.
Requests for these and other tours for clubs, home school associations, and other groups can be made by calling the Ranger Station at (239) 992-0311. We make every effort to accommodate all groups, however we may not be able to fulfill requests made with less than a two week notice.

Come visit our Junior Ranger table from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Learn how to become a Junior Ranger and join us for lots of cool nature activities! Children can complete the Junior Ranger CORE activities, collect passport stamps, and earn an official Junior Ranger badge, patch, or pin! Junior Ranger activities are appropriate for children aged 6 and up, but we will also have critter coloring pages and smokey bear stories available for all ages.
No reservation required. Meet us inside the visitor center located within the main park entrance, off US 441 in Micanopy.

Art in the Park - Basket Weaving @ Topsail Hill Preserve State ParkFriday, September 8, 2017 - 9:00am to 2:00pm CDT

Art in the Park - Create your own watercolor with local artist Carol Dickson. Class fees for the Sept 8th class are $35 and include all instruction and materials needed. Regular park admission applies and is paid at ranger station on the day of class. All classes need a minimum of 5 participants to occur. Classes are limited to 10 participants and participants must be at least 12 years of age. Registration is due 7 days before class date and can be done in the park store or online at www.topsailparkfriends.org. The park store is open seven days a week 8am – 5pm.
Future dates for Art in the Park include Watercolor on October 13, 2017 for $25. A different theme and technique are used each class. For more information about Art in the Park please email email@example.com.
Ranger Guided Trail Walk @ Long Key State ParkFriday, September 8, 2017 - 1:00pm EDT
Free with paid park admission.
Enjoy a leisurely, Ranger guided walk along the 1.1 mile Golden Orb Trail loop. Visitors will enjoy learning about the diverse plant life and the various habitats that are vital to the Florida Keys ecology. It is highly recommended that participants bring water to drink and wear a hat and sunscreen. Please note that periodically the trail will flood during high tides so we recommend that you wear shoes that can get wet. Additionally, you may wish to bring sunglasses, bug spray, cameras and binoculars. We leave from the Board Walk at 1:00 P.M.
To participate in this program you must be able to walk on uneven surfaces and walk small inclines.
Sunset Paddle Tour @ Oleta River State ParkFriday, September 8, 2017 - 4:00pm to 6:00pm EDT
The Tour is 2 hours long and $35.00 per Adult or $25.00 per College Student.
Have you ever gone Kayaking at night? Sunset Kayak/SUP Tours are available every Friday evening at the BG Oleta River Outdoor Center. We paddle for 1 hour before arriving at Sandspur Island where we will take a break and watch the sun go down. Once the sun has set, your Guide will turn on bright colorful lights located on the front and back of your Kayak or SUP before a 30 minute paddle back to the Outdoor Center.
Eco Fitness Classes @ Oleta River State ParkSaturday, September 9, 2017 (All day)
"By combining health-fitness with outdoor recreation, Eco Fitness appeals to those seeking to increase time spent exercising and connecting with nature. Through a strategically formulated exercise regimen, participants will see adaptation to their physical abilities as well as an increase in their love for the great outdoors.
Eco Fitness Classes incorporate Kayaking/Stand Up Paddleboarding, Mountain Biking, Swimming and Plyometrics over the course of 2 hours for the low price of $40.00 per class.
Classes are held the first 2 weeks of the month; Wednesday evenings, Friday and Saturday mornings."
