Wake up with a hot cup of coffee or tea and pastries. Enjoy the morning view of Lake Osprey in the Nature Center. The volunteers running the program will be happy to answer any questions that you have about the park and surrounding area. Feel free to bring a paper to read or feel free to browse our selection of guide books and informational resources.
2017 Museum Open House and Black History Month Presentation @ Silver Springs State ParkTuesday, February 28, 2017 - 4:00pm to 7:00pm EST

The Silver River Museum & Environmental Education Center will host an open house from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and a special presentation from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Mrs. Mary Fears will conduct a program titled "Harriet Tubman: Abolitionist and Conductor on the Underground Railroad". Historian and author Mrs. Fears is an expert on the abolition of slavery, the Underground Railroad and the contributions of African Americans during the Civil War. The talk will explore the accomplishments of Harriet Tubman and include a presentation of historic items including slave quilts and other 19th century artifacts.
Enter the park from the camping & museum entrance, 1425 NE 58th Avenue (also known as State Road 35 and Baseline Rd.) to access the Silver River Museum.

Enjoy talking with volunteers and fellow campers around the campfire. Bring a non-alcoholic drink and a good story to share.
Located at the Campfire Circle or inside the Nature Center if the weather is not so nice.
Program is located at the Campfire Circle between sites 35 and 36. Will be held in the Nature Center if weather is not so nice.
Eco Fitness Classes @ Oleta River State ParkWednesday, March 1, 2017 (All day)
"By combining health-fitness with outdoor recreation, Eco Fitness appeals to those seeking to increase time spent exercising and connecting with nature. Through a strategically formulated exercise regimen, participants will see adaptation to their physical abilities as well as an increase in their love for the great outdoors.
Eco Fitness Classes incorporate Kayaking/Stand Up Paddleboarding, Mountain Biking, Swimming and Plyometrics over the course of 2 hours for the low price of $40.00 per class.
Classes are held the first 2 weeks of the month; Wednesday evenings, Friday and Saturday mornings."
