Citrus Watercolor Club's Fall Show and Sale @ Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park

There is no charge to attend the exhibit and sale. Regular park admission will apply for entrance into the Wildlife Park.

The Citrus Watercolor Club will be holding its Fall Arts in the Park exhibit and sale in the Visitor Center featuring the artwork of local watercolorists. Originals, prints, and cards will be available for purchase. The Citrus Watercolor Club donates 20% of sales from the show to the Friends of Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park.

The X-Country Race will be a fantastic experience that you will not want to miss. With rolling hills with sweeping views, you will feel like you are running in Kentucky.

There will be aid stations along the course with water, gatorade, bananas and other marathoning needs.

As you roam down the short trail to the Cow Camp, you will travel back in time to 1876. At the end of the trail, you will find a Florida Cow Hunter in a frontier camp along the route of a cattle drive. He will be cooking, making coffee, tending to the cattle or just resting up until the next roundup or cattle drive. The Cow Hunter will be very happy to share stories about what his life is like and the challenges he faces.

Offsite Cow Camps are available for groups of 15 or more, schools, community organizations, special events, etc. Call the Ranger Station for more information.

Come enjoy local and visiting musicians perform acoustic music in a scenic area near the springs. Instruments usually include a banjo, guitar, fiddle, upright bass, and accordion. They may vary from month to month. Feel free to bring your own instrument and join in or just listen and enjoy. Hand claps and foot taps welcome!
