Visit Fort Mose on the first Saturday morning of each month and become immersed into the 18th century. The members of the Fort Mose Militia come together to practice firing drills and teach new Militiia members historic weapon use and safety. Visitors will experience historic weapon demonstrations including musket firing drills. Children of all ages will have the opportunity to participate in the children's militia training, using wooden toy muskets and authentic uniform accessories. This experience will provide a wonderful photo opportunity and a one of a kind experience, in a Florida State Park!
The Park opens at 9:00 a.m. and closes at 5:00 p.m.

As you roam down the short trail to the Cow Camp, you will travel back in time to 1876. At the end of the trail, you will find a Florida Cow Hunter in a frontier camp along the route of a cattle drive. He will be cooking, making coffee, tending to the cattle or just resting up until the next roundup or cattle drive. The Cow Hunter will be very happy to share stories about what his life is like and the challenges he faces.
Offsite Cow Camps are available for groups of 15 or more, schools, community organizations, special events, etc. Call the Ranger Station for more information.

This program will allow visitors to interact with living historians to experience life in the fort as it was in 1864. The grounds will be bustling with soldiers in period costumes involved in firing demonstrations, marching drills, cooking and daily activities. Ladies in their dresses, sutlers displaying their wares, fife players and drummer boys bring every part of the civil war era to life. Come join in this unique, family friendly event.

The Gamble Plantation State Park 20th Annual Fall Classic Car and Truck Show is coming up on November 5th 2016. The show is open to the public and registration starts at 9am. To enter your car, pre-registration is $15 and $20 day of show. This is a Large Car show with 150 plus cars. The Car show is co-hosted by two not for profit organizations, The Gamble Plantation Preservation Alliance and SOLVE Maternity Holmes. All Proceeds go both charities. This weekly program features different arts and craft opportunities for kids. A Volunteer will be on-hand in the Nature Center to instruct and provide the materials but parents are asked to remain with their child throughout the program; parents are welcome to participate as well. Supplies and seating is limited, so participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Topsail Hill Preserve State Park invites you to enjoy our Family Challenge Saturdays. Each Saturday of the month we invite visitors to come and participate in our “Geocache Topsail “& “Topsail Photo Scavenger Hunt” programs. You may choose to do one or both programs and return to the camp store to pick up a surprise at the end of your visit. Enter the park through the main gate and park staff will direct you to the camp store to pick up your program packets, you will need a gps or a smart phone capable of gps as well as a camera or smart phone for pictures.

St. Andrews State Park has been hosting the running portion of the triathlon since the races inception and will again for the 2016 Ironman Florida.
