The Department of Environmental Protection's Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park would like to invite you and your family out for a one of a kind hayride.  Come enjoy a hayride down the majestic brick path of the gardens where you will get to view unique and creative scarecrows.  We will be briefly stopping at each scarecrow so you can really enjoy the details and artwork. After the hayride participants will have the chance to vote for their favorite scarecrow for People's Choice Award!

The JCI Ocala Jaycees present the 44th Annual Haunted House in partnership with Silver Springs State Park, every Friday and Saturday evening in October.

This will be an evening of fun and fear and will feature multiple scare zones as well as food and drink service.

No costumes or masks permitted. This is a scary event and may not be suitable for young children. Please read participation requirements in the additional information section.

Additional Information:

Enter the park through the main entrance located at 5656 East Silver Springs Blvd. (SR 40). The gates will be closed promptly at 10:00 p.m. and no new visitors will be allowed entry. Visitors that have already participated will be able to exit through a one-way gate.

Muzzleloading Gun Season 2016-2017 @ Rock Springs Run State Reserve

Regular park entry fees apply for non-hunters. 

Permitted hunters are exempt from park admission on the days of the hunt and the preview day before the hunt.  Hunter access at other times requires normal park admission.

During this weekend of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission's Rock Spring Wildlife Management Area Muzzleloading Gun Hunt, the park is open for normal activities. However, to protect our visitors, some trails will be closed. All hunting areas and trail closures will be clearly posted.
