Topsail Hill Preserve State Park invites you to learn how to fish from the beach here at Topsail Hill Preserve. Fishing is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, have some fun, and catch a tasty meal. Many people first learned to fish by having an experienced angler take them fishing. Unfortunately not every person that would like to try fishing knows someone that can teach them the basics. Regardless of how much help a fisherman was given, everyone had to start from the beginning – as a beginner. Join a Park Ranger for a how to beginner’s lesson on surf fishing. Participants must have a valid Florida Fishing License. Fishing licenses are not available for purchase at the park. Enter the park through the main gate and park staff will direct you to the designated meeting area. All required equipment is provided. Due to the limited quantities of equipment, pre-registration is required by contacting the Ranger Station. The program is limited to 10 participants.
Please make sure that you are dressed appropriately for the weather conditions. Make sure that you have sunscreen, insect repellent and adequate drinking water. In the event of severe weather outdoor programs may be cancelled or changed to an indoor presentation at The Clubhouse.

Program is appropriate for kids aged 6 and up. Pre-registration is required, spaces are limited. To register, please call the Ranger Station at (239) 463-4588.
